For the budding web entrepreneur there is no better tool for driving traffic to a fledgling web site and revenue to empty pockets than article marketing.
An original articled written with unique content and posted on one of the major article platforms has a great chance to achieve high ranking in search engine results for the keywords targeted by the article.
A typical strategy is to:
Find a niche market that is relatively unexploited. Find a product that you can market to this niche. Set up a web site or blog featuring your niche and product. Write keyword rich articles focused on the niche. Post the articles on article platforms with links to your web site or blog in the resource box. Wait.
This method could be likened to wash your hair. If a first application and rinse does not do the trick then the best word repeat, as in rinse and repeat.
In real estate the three L’s of location, location, location are king. In the realm of the World Wide Web it is the three T’s of traffic, traffic, traffic.
No matter anyone tells you, no matter how great your site or content is, no matter how great your idea, a site without traffic is like a hot dog stand on the moon. What a brilliant idea but your sales will be real slow.
So as you set out to conquer the world remember that it is your ability to attract sufficient volumes of traffic that will ultimately decide if you succeed or fail and if you can make a buck or not.
It is not easy to get traffic; an enormous quantity of work goes into just driving 100 visitors a day to a new site. So guard your present and more importantly future traffic carefully.
Do not, repeat do not send traffic directly to any web page or affiliate site that is not in your long term ownership and/or control. Many budding web entrepreneurs will direct the traffic that they work so hard to generate directly to a click bank hop link for instance. They may even make some sales and it will seem like a great idea but all you have achieved is in building up someone else’s web property.
Before you start on your drive to generate trafficking it is vital that you have a destination for this traffic figured out. There are two strategies in order for you to do this.
Buy a domain name and forward it to your affiliate code. This way you will be building up your own domain name with your traffic generation efforts and if at sometime in the future you wish to change affiliates you will only have to go to your domain name registrar and alter your forwarding.
Open a free blogger or word press blog, place your affiliate links and code in the blog and drive your traffic to the blog. As with the domain name if you wish to change affiliates you only have to change the code in your blog.
In both the above cases you will be the one benefiting from the fruits of your traffic labors.
A last word on article marketing. Copying someone else’s articles is akin to opening a hot dog stand on the moon, Google will see to it that no one ever finds you and reputable article directories will reject your article.
So it is imperative that you ensure that your articles and website/blog content is original. The twin whammies of original content on your blog or website combined with original articles posted on top level article platforms is a sure recipe for jumping the traffic queue.
